CTC Restraint Training

Law enforcement

Control early. Handcuff on the side.

For agencies, restraint is a core duty. SafeWrap gives two officers a lateral finish: no joint locks, no chokes, no strikes, and no need to bury the person to get the handcuffs on.

Most officers only feel finished once the hands are cuffed and the person is seated. Until wrist control, movement control, and a weapon check are met, the pressure is to rush. That rush is where a prone pile, a hidden waistband, and a lost airway show up.

The films below are public. They are how two large departments have talked about the same problem. CTC does not speak for NYPD or LAPD. We teach the system they evaluated.

NYPD

NYPD adopts SafeWrap

NYPD Department policy already prohibits body weight that compresses the chest or restricts the airway. SafeWrap's lateral hold is built for that constraint: control first, pressure off the chest and back, face still visible.

LAPD

LAPD on SafeWrap

LAPD’s lead arrest and control instructors evaluate the system for wider use. The question they were answering is the same one any agency has: can a lateral hold control a resisting person without a prone finish.

LAPD adopts SafeWrap

If your agency is still finishing in prone, start with a conversation.

Tell us the roles that would train: patrol, defensive tactics, jail staff. We will shape the discovery call around them.
